Newsom OK'd a minimum wage increase for health care workers. Now he wants to delay it

California health care workers banking on a state-ordered minimum wage increase later this year might have to wait a little longer.

Weird. It's as though he realizes that artificial pressures on the minimum wage have costly repercussions throughout all of society. Perhaps he'll also learn that the best approach is to let the market accurately price the value of goods and labor. As history as shown over and over again.

Yep Dan. History has shown over and over / those with monopoly power, in a market system / evolve to exploit the market for their own private benefit - without regard for promoting "the general Welfare."* Hence - some worker unions, one Fed. Affordable Care Act etc.

A pause may make sense / at least in balancing the CA state budget this year.

* part of preamble to the USA Constitution [that's One Long Sentence!]
