For the first time in two decades, a Silicon Valley congressmember is retiring, a move that will shake up the South Bay's political landscape -- with many local Democrats reportedly eyeing the seat.

Our US Congress representative has been a consistent and professional voice for us in Washington DC. I'm glad that she has represented me all-these-years and that she has chosen to retire while she still is in good health and effective. (though wish she had announced it a few mouths earlier)
