I'm so glad to see the repaving of El Camino Real will be completed by the year 2032.
Where the hell were the politicians and Caltrans 10 years ago such that the work could have been completed in a timely manner like in 2019.

Thanks for the report(ing) of the report. 'It will get done - when it gets done' has seemed to be CalTrans attitude to this state highway route. So I didn't see any reason to go or listen in person or remotely.
Good news / my favorite direct route to walk to the CalTrain station, crossing ECR at the "T" intersection at Bonita, will be safer with a beacon system. Now, if you pause, wait for a traffic clearing, and pause again in the flat center paved median, it is for me a reasonable and legal crossing. But not-so-safe for older, middle school, or less spry people.

Thanks goodness California pays the highest state gas tax rates (by far) in the country. That's why we have such great roads... lol.

Ironic that while ECR repaving is again delayed some, MV decided to repave the pedestrian mall part of Castro Street. Nice smooth black asphalt...and black footprints on the sidewalks :) Why?
