Nice to see that tree support is now understood (at least by the City) also as providing natural rainfall support for trees. Permeable 'hardscapes' of various types are important / as are water runoff catchment 'bioswales' and 'drywells'. Unfortunately - both the City and the School District leaders do not seem to understand "permeable concrete". (OK maybe former Valley Water environmental engineer / councilwoman Showalter does ?)

I looked over the MVWSD Greening Plans - not even a mention of this concept (check Watsonville, Valley Water, Cupertino City, and even My Old Hometown of Glendale CA!)

The Glendale "Permeable Alley Project" is explained here Web Link
