Local senior center helps older adults celebrate on their own terms

For seniors, the upcoming holiday season can be fraught with the tension of conflicting emotions. Palo Alto's Avenidas recognizes the array of feelings and makes sure it offers activities for everyone, Director Tracy McCloud said.

What do you offer atheist seniors without family traditions, children, local family ties, Christian faith or lost love ones? This is a serious question. Unfortunately, this article does not speak to me. I was hoping to find something here. But I am looking for good company, nonetheless. Or positive and helpful suggestions.
