Gavin Newsom signs law boosting minimum wage for fast-food workers. Is $20 enough?

More than half a million fast food workers, mostly minorities and women, will earn higher minimum wage because Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a fast food bill Thursday. But some say that’s not a living wage.

@Hispanic Causing Panic, why should the low-wage workers at McDonald's have to subsidize your Big Mac or Combo Meal?

I wonder what the MVWSD now pays it's food service workers. Since it is immune from the MV City minimum wage law, has it (the Board Majority policy) raised it's rates in lockstep?
