Just an Observation,

The really scary story is Carl Sagan predicted this mess in his book "The Demon Haunted World" in the 1990s

Where the information age is likely going to wind up helping systemically making us extinct. Due to the use of mass misinformation that is allowed in the internet.

It was bad enough when we had false advertising in print media, radio and television. The "ANONYMOUS" posters that can be coming form a minority of people using multiple identities and CIRCULAR referencing is destroying the REAL value of the information age.

Especially when "OPINION" articles are used as research, and referred to by a "CIRCLE" of writers. In effect you have say 6 people using each other to validate an invalidating theory. 6 refers to 5 refers to 4 refers to 3 refers to to refers to 1 refers to 6. This is circular validation. NOT scientific, nor reliable.

Face it most of what is online regarding everything is not scientific, is nothing but either commercials or political content that is designed to exploit the people reading, listening, or watching it on the internet.

What a waste of the best knowledge tool we ever made, we polluted it so it is too toxic to use now.

Employees are being given six weeks to find a job themselves within Accenture. Accenture is giving us _access_ to their job postings but is NOT actively helping us find jobs within the company.

Meta is ramping up their offshore contract moderators located in India, despite the poorer response times and quality metrics, which we were allowed to view.

Agreed in some aspects, Steven. As a society, we’ve been sloppy with our use of technology, which should have a greater purpose beyond a tribalistic hit of dopamine. Click bait revenue models have us reaching for sensationalism like cigarettes. I bought a Punkt dumbphone recently and only consume local news. The digital detox has been great. I wish Apple or Google would design a dumbphone that would could be removed from a smartphone, functional for calls and a tool for periodic “screen breaks.”
