This is unfortunate. When the Stevens Creek Trail washed out in 2017, the city and Valley Water were able to get federal reimbursement for trail and creek repairs. I believe that was dependent on a disaster declaration. Mountain View needs to push for Santa Clara County's inclusion because there has been significant embankment erosion recently, in some places approaching but not taking out the trail.

Sure - I saw the bank erosion near the pedestrian bridge at "Whisman School site / German International." But .... Valley Water District i.e. The Golden Spigot? IMO They should have spend the $,$$$,$$$ that they did on a public gazebo / river overlook (next to a mobil home park owned by relatives of a VWD board member) on Reserves or on the Coyote Creek problems.
We ain't so bad off / that we need to go begging to the feds (IMO).
