Thida is a long time dedicated public servant. She’s been volunteering in the school district and the city for years and she really knows how to work with citizens and officials to get things done. She always listens and does her homework to understand the issues before taking well considered positions. Ive got one kid at LAHS and another one coming through in a few years. I trust Thida to make good decisions for my children and their peers and she has my support for the MVLA Board.

100% agree with Mtn View Mom. Thida has a long history of public service and demonstrated commitment to equity. Thida is a thoughtful person and would provide a valuable perspective and needed balance on the MVLA board to ensure that the system meets the needs of all students.

I've known Thida Cornes for many years. She is dedicated to public service and to supporting kids in our community. Her skillset and experience on local and school commissions and committees that had to decide and implement complex policies will be a valuable asset to the MVLA school board. Her perspective as a parent of two children who had very different journeys through school, including high school and now college, helps her understand the full picture of the educational experience and to truly advocate for all students.
