For seniors, accidental falls a leading cause of injuries

Falls are the leading cause of fatal and nonfatal injuries among older adults -- even those who are fit and active. Local experts shared prevention tips to help older adults reduce their risk.

or is that "Around Town" (why not a Health & Fitness Category?)

As a long-ago gymnast, it is indeed surprising how quickly and how far Balance can 'go' as you get past 65 yrs. I find the 'balance on one bare foot / on a bare floor' one of the most telling signs. So, that's one test I've been trying to use, as a metric, and improve.

This is a good, quick review of some of the neurological /physiological reasons this happens to all of us, as we age. Forwarned is a chance to be prepared.
