See all those houses built in early 2000s by the old Paulo alto dump? The residents sued and won to close Palo Alto’s compost facility because they wanted higher property values! So screw Palo Alto for approving all that housing there!

Dave Smith, I lived in Palo Alto 1960 to 2010, and I don't recall ANY of the "all those houses built in early 2000s by the old Paulo alto dump" you posted about. Googlemap it...no homes out there, but there is Byxbee Park, which the city put out there after the dump became full. Just like Mountain View created Shoreline Park after their dump reached capacity. Seems you are just ranting to show your dislike about Palo Alto???? Let's stick to facts....the cities all reached capacity of the dumps they had along the bay, I am all in favor of this new system of turning food waste into compost (I do go to the Smart Station to get free compost every so often). Problem is, it takes a bit more time and focus, which seems to be hard for a lot of people.
