I don’t know why ACGME has abandoned their obligation to trainees by allowing substandard education in restricted states. They need to pull accreditation now from any program that can’t train their doctors in necessary life saving procedures. I also don’t think we should be using Medicare dollars to support substandard resident education. Do you really want a doctor who would allow you to bleed out or become septic because they didn’t know how to properly counsel a pregnant woman with a complicated first trimester pregnancy? This is what we’ll have in this state in 3 years when they finish training and move here. We need laws to save pregnant women, not a fetus.
