The environmental impact report for the San Francisco to San Jose section of California's high-speed rail finds the preferred alternative
would displace 14 residential units and three community facilities.

I'm surprised they figured out a way to bring the high speed rail up the peninsula. I wonder if the "using the two-track configuration" means they will not be trying to remove lanes from Central Expy and Alma, which would be a non-starter, in my opinion. I also wonder how long it takes to get from SF to SJ on an express train now. If there's a train that only stops in Millbrae I would guess it doesn't take that much longer than 30 minutes.
