City council supports allocating all ARPA funds in next budget cycle

Mountain View has nearly $8 million of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds available to allocate in the city’s next annual budget, and the Mountain View City Council says the time to spend it is now.

Interesting that the City Council and the MVWSD (K-8) School Board have such a different philosophy on this. Our Council (and fiscal staff) seem to understand that you can have 'structural balance' while spending down excess reserves. (for new important needs) The MVWSD is going to (again) follow it's staff to excess Reserves. (Above their "Board Policy" % of operating budget).

The sky is falling, the sky is falling? - why in MVWSD (Budget) and not our City (Budget)?
