Caltrain rules. Here's hoping that the electric conversion happens sooner 'n later. I can hardly wait for new cars and silent engines.

Enjoyed the Caltrain 'regular frequency' service this past few days. On a "SF Giants excursion". The 4:12 PM train after the win was full, but not standing room. I think for the reason that there was a 'local' available after a brief interlude.

-HowEver- The rail alignment (horizontal shaking - acceleration) is just horrible in the segment from Menlo Park to San Carlos! Unbelievably bad technical maintenance compared to what British Rail can do with their main-line tracks. (recently rode Liverpool - Edinburgh West Coast segment).
Shake - Rattle & Roll !
