Hmm, I guess the journalists couldn't persuade any of the MVWSD principals to speak on the record? Wonder why not? Might they be worried about retaliation from district administration?

Hello @Nora, MV-Voice (and the PA Weekly) started republishing EdSource education stories. EdSource that cover statewide education, and are statewide or Bay Area-wide reporters, so while sometimes they talk to local educators, it's rare given their statewide audience.

Thanks for this helpful clarification, @ Christopher Chiang.
Nevertheless, I'd still like to see the occasional interview of MVWSD teachers and principals in the newspaper. The staff of this district seem unnaturally reluctant to go on the record here or at school board meetings. I find that troubling. Teachers often have very helpful insights into issues that the district is grappling with. We should actively seek out their opinions.
