So let me see if I have this right...

A man whose name we don't know stole some items of a type we don't know of unknown value from some businesses, which ones we don't know, and was apprehended by the cops, who discovered all this by means unknown.

Is that about right? It's not News until it has some content. You know that, right? I mean you're running a Newspaper.

I totally agree. Why even write about it if there are no details...?

We were one of the stores that was burgled last fall, and I bet most stores appreciate not publicizing the name of their stores. It's an invitation for other burglers to come and pay a visit. And it frightens the public away from visiting those stores. So on the side of the retail stores, it's a blessing not to be in the news. Three cheers for the police, as it's very hard to catch burglers. Very hard. They are doing a wonderful job.
