"Less than two weeks ago, we noted that the omicron variant was about to bring a deluge of new COVID-19 cases to Santa Clara County. Unfortunately, that deluge is now here," Dr. Sara Cody, the county's health officer and director of public health, said in a statement.

The chart that appears directly above that text from the article contradicts Dr. Cody's statement. Far from showing that a "deluge" of Omicron cases has arrived in the County, it shows that Omicron's share of total COVID-19 cases so far is tiny. Omicron's sliver is, in fact, the smallest one shown. Is the chart incorrect, and if so, would the Voice please publish a corrected one? Or if the chart is correct, would the Voice ask Dr. Cody why her statement seems unjustified by the data? Is her statement based on more recent data that she is not disclosing? If so, what does it say?
