In late October, Todd Quackenbush received a lifesaving transplant from Suzie Scher, 40 years after they met at Juana Briones Elementary School in Palo Alto.

There is no greater kindness than giving a new lease to someone's life through life organ donation. Susie Sher is a saint in my book. I am truly touched by her generosity and humanity.
