This typical boy's club witch hunt vis-a-vis Elizabeth Holmes i.e. "if a woman is handy, blame her!" ... is remindful of the later proved false accusations toward, Janis Karpinski, an Army reserve brigadier general, the female commander of the USA prisoner of war prison ABU GHRAIB, notorious for crimes and abuses of Iraqi prisoners. Karpinski was routinely kept out of the loop re abusive orders, by both superior, Sec'y of Defense being the most senior, and lower ranking officers, and by onsite non-commissioned perpetrators of the crimes. BUT when the shit hit the cameras, they all pointed fingers at her. She lost her command and her unblemished, highly honored, career in the Army. Subsequent US Senate investigations found Karpinski was duped and didn't order or ignore the terrible crimes committed by those who were reporting to her. She was innocent.
This pattern of boys sticking together and deflecting responsibility onto any convenient woman plays out in any venue you can mention. Just think about it and pay attention from now on.

There are men and women that were involved in this. The Chief Administrative Officer / President and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of startups are not responsible?

BS comparison - Silicon Valley is not the Army. Startups do not work by the same command structure and the US Army was formed in ? (1776?) (June 14, 1775!)

If you have had reports that the technology isn't working well, why wouldn't you dig deeper into it and ask others in the company about it? Not just rely on what your direct reports tell you? And having heard that the machine is not 99% reliable, why would you attempt to deploy it to test people's blood? False blood test readings are devastating.
