I wonder if the residents could be provided with air purifiers to mitigate the construction pollution. 400 units * $150 = $60,000. Seems doable.
This seems like a great housing infill project near transit. Delaying evening commutes at an intersection by 12 seconds pales in comparison to welcoming 300 happy neighbors.

Genius idea, Jeremy.

Doubling the number of car trips is insignificant?
Bike lanes, car shares and VTA will mitigate the problem?
What are they smoking over there at city hall?
Nobody uses those things, especially not in these pandemic times (and how in the world did they conduct an accurate study in these pandemic times when traffic is temporarily low?) and not in general either. Plus, bikes are traffic too, indeed they can cause more problems and delays than cars can, especially the way the aggressive cyclists ride right into the car lanes these days.
No, this is false optimism. I don't buy it for a minute.

Yes, doubling the number of car trips is insignificant, because it's on a dead-end street with little traffic to begin with.

It's also perfectly legal for bicycles to use car lanes. Maybe more people would ride them if we stopped treating bikes as a problem just for existing and following the rules.
