About time. Now ... how to fix that darn VTA STAFF?

(919) 319-2043. IMO, mail and phone calls are usually answered by real people (staffers).
Their Committee Rules, Bill Management "1) Bills referred to the Committee will be scheduled for a hearing at the discression of the Chair." Most bills are KILLED DEAD by committee chairs / be warned long suffering residents of No. County! So be especially nice to Chair Friedman and her staff!

Agree with long overdue need to reform VTA, not sure that proposal is the right way to go:
1. The board quality is still at the mercy of politicians.
2. By appointing non elected board members , there is even less accountability (voters pass tax measures but can't remove the board in case of mis-management)
A better and simpler approach might be direct election of the VTA Board by District (as BART does).
