Some good, some bad. If there's a bug with upvote counting then it should be fixed, rather than removed. It's a very useful metric to see how the community responds to an article and comment.

I guess I will have to keep my strong Like of Dan's and Greg's posts to myself now.

Now.. what to do with my 1916 remaining characters..

I like the "like" it avoids a lot of repetitive "me too" comments

Isn't life wonderful now that we have little "Ministries of Truth" popping up everywhere you look.

Our media is discovering that there ARE significant benefits to groupthink and CCP style social scoring systems.

What the alleged journalist forget is that the Freedom of Speech is messy and often offensive.

Whatever happened to "'I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"???

Sad

These are a good set of rules.
It should be called "The Business Man" rules.
Mostly 1 individual abused the comment section, so much so many people did not like even coming to this site any more.

Free speech is not being infringed on, you can make your point, let others do the same, but no more games or lectures.

" but no more games or lectures."

I'm curious, did you read @groot's post?

I notice there is very little comment since the changes, except, of course, the spam.

Sad.

@ home of registered user,
you said,
"I notice there is very little comment since the changes, except, of course, the spam."

That's because one person was responsible for 75% of the posts. I have not seen him back yet, maybe he was banned, or new user name.

It will take some time for people to come back. They have to feel OK with posting again, without being attacked by the activist people with an agenda.
