I think that it is very good that the company is providing these funds for affordable housing yet there are very significant needs for both the affordable housing as well as housing and care for the people who are homeless in the region as well. It would be wonderful if many of the the other companies in the area were to donate such significant and generous funds to assist those who are most in need of a home. Thank you very much.

This was a vailed attempt at extortion, FACEBOOK knew about the lawsuits about to be filed. And now they are going to say that if these lawsuits are NOT withdrawn, these funds will go bye bye.

Businesses have done this in the past, and it will keep happening.

In any case $150,000,000 is pathetic given the wealth of FACEBOOK, and it will only provide at most 300 housing units in an area that has a deficit in the thousands.

What a joke.

The story reports that the money is part of larger effort to create even more housing units for "essential workers" - essential to FACEBOOK and its owners and workers. . It is part of a larger plan for more and higher density housing for high tech - especially FACEBOOK. Someone remind us. What does FACEBOOK do to make money?
