City lets restaurants break the rules on Castro

Original post made by Bernie Brightman, North Whisman, on Dec 2, 2020

The new rules say no indoor dining. But restaurants on Castro Street are putting up covered tents with four walls. Yeah, it's outside, but how is that any different from indoor dining? Those tents are going to be containment zones for the virus. What hypocrisy! Thanks for being a superspreader, City of Mountain View.

Victor,

I will be happy to take pictures of Castro Street, and then send them to the County Department of Health.

This is not just happening in Mountain View, there is a great video from Louis Rossman you can see here (Web Link and here (Web Link

Now if it was just a Gazebo top and no walls or windows on them, no problem.

Is putting these things also in the street legal?

What do you think?
