On the one hand, this is great and it is wonderful that both new housing will get built and a Mountain View institution will get to survive.
On the other hand, it is hilarious that housing for Baby Boomers get approved with no hassle and housing for literally everyone else is "killing Mountain View."

On the one hand this is great for my wife - who loves the meals here. On the other hand it is great for the community (all communities have aging residents). And on the third hand it might be personally great - if I get to need 'that level' of senior care.

And on the forth hand - this local business family - gets to keep their food business going, build for the future, and provide extra real-estate income for their generations of family to come.

Always always a favorite here in the peninsula. It will be sad to see it go in current form. I do hope that you will still save the dining experience for us younger and older people. Live up the peninsula in Millbrae and always love to come down here for a great meal.

El Camino is gradually turning into a dark canyon, surrounded on both sides by high walls. Build, build, build.
