Two Stanford University economists win Nobel Prize

A pair of Stanford economists will share the 2020 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced Monday.

Yeah Stanford Economics! My eldest son graduated from this department in 2012 and really enjoyed it as an undergraduate. The spirit of the place ("genius") must have been infused by this type of learned professors.
I know when I worked in academic departments with Noble winners around, it could really help the spirits of everyone (UCB Charles Townes / Physics , UCSD Hannes Alfven / Physics). And it doesn't hurt alumni donations either (UCSB Shuji Nakamura / Physics).
