Original post made on Oct 11, 2020

When Lenny Siegel was Mayor, he warned about a state-level plot still underway to require cities to allow high-density housing - with little or no onsite parking - in areas otherwise zoned for single-family homes and often duplexes. As I understand his position, Lenny favors more housing - including high-density - but not in everyone's backyard, frontyard and garden. I have not heard the incumbents (Margaret Abe-Koga and Lisa Matichak) address it. And now I see a mailer for Lisa Matichak paid for by the National Association of Realtors.

Gary,

Aren't the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors "Out of Town" ACTIVISTS?

Just curious because you here people like Jose Gutierrez, Margaret Abe Koga, and Lisa Matichak complaining about out of town ACTIVISTS meddling in the City politics?

This Institutionalized ACTIVISM has been going on for decades, right?

Time to purge it out of the City Council for good.

Lenny Siegel. and Pat Showalter were VOTED OUT of the city council by Mountain View residents for a reason.
Lets not repeat that mistake by putting them back into office and having to wait for 4 years to vote them out again.

There is no reason to put those 2 back into office. We watched what failed candidates do when they totally disregard residents views on issues, especially when it goes against Siegel views. Siegel acts if he is King and only his view is the correct one. No council member has the right to chastise residents from the Dias for the sole reason of speaking their views on issues at council meetings, and if it goes against Seigel's view, then you better look out.

In my 59 years a living in Mountain View, I never remember any other incumbents that were voted out of office like Siegel and Showalter.

The Voice had endorsed them last time, they lost. Now the Voice endorsed them again without doing a story on why residents voted them out last time.

@BM,

You said you have a "large circle of friends who "likes" your post"

Your friends are a cellphone, laptop, notepad and maybe one other device which you go thru and turn each one on then go to this website, hit the "likes" on your pro posts, then turn off that device and repeat over and over with each device at the same time until you reach your number of likes that you want.

It was very clear that was what you were doing yesterday evening.

It is you spamming hundreds and hundreds of those "likes".

In response to Gladys who said:

“Lenny Siegel. and Pat Showalter were VOTED OUT of the city council by Mountain View residents for a reason.

After the interference of outside corporate “ACTIVISM” the voters in the last election are given a chance to correct themselves and remove authoritarian biased class elitist’s that used their postion to abuse citizens of the City of Mountain View. Jose Gutierrez, Margaret Abe Koga and Lisa Matichak will abuse their power any chance they get to exile people who reside in the City so when you said:

“There is no reason to put those 2 back into office. We watched what failed candidates do when they totally disregard residents views on issues, especially when it goes against Siegel views. I just gave one reason already, and you know that MAK and LM are the Queens of the California Apartment Association and the Silicon Valley and California Association of Realtors. You said:

“In my 59 years a living in Mountain View, I never remember any other incumbents that were voted out of office like Siegel and Showalter.”

Maybe the song will be replayed with regards to MAK and LM? Is that what your really afraid of because they messed up so much regarding trying to lie about Measure D, which was rejected by a voter ratio of better than 2 to 1? You said:

“The Voice had endorsed them last time, they lost. Now the Voice endorsed them again without doing a story on why residents voted them out last time.”

What is that story, please write us what was the reason, could it be that MAK and LM got so much cash from “outside” corporate “Activists” to buy their way in? Maybe? And now the voters have a chance to correct for that? Maybe?
