The hospital is operated by a corporation and the elected members of the health care district board may also serve on the corporate board ON GOOD BEHAVIOR. Is that how it works? If so, here's the next question: what money or other benefits are given to members of the corporate board? Isn't there a conflict of interest for elected board members to also serve on the corporate board?

Shame on John Zoglin and Gary Kalbach for beginning this sham process to try to smear Julia Miller. Double shame on John Zoglin and Gary Kalbach for ending this nothingburger trumped up complaint without fully clearing Julia Miller. What a nasty political stunt! Did they think they could do this to Julia Miller because she is the only woman on the board? Thanks so much to Gary Kremen, board member of the Santa Clara Valley Water District, for standing up for Julia Miller and not letting a long-time public servant be treated so shabbily, and also not permitting women to be slapped around in this way. We need more women on the ECH District Board.

What does any member of this health care district board do FOR THE PUBLIC if the member also oversees or works for the corporation that operates the hospital? Something is not right here. Is the county Civil Grand Jury still functioning?
