High heat, unhealthful air quality likely to last into the week

Record-setting heat and smoky air descended on the Bay Area on Sunday and is expected to only improve slightly over the next few days, the National Weather Service said.

Congratulations fellow earthlings for this fine milestone. My heart goes out to the folks that are being hit.

Our elected leaders are busy visiting disaster areas and meeting with first responders. But guess what? Since we are doing squat to deal with the root cause, there will be plenty of new milestones to come!
