I really wish the voice would stop posting the names and mugshots of folks who've been arrested but not convicted. The conduct described here is vile, but we all live in a society where innocent until proven guilty is the standard for justice. If this man did what he's accused of doing, his conduct should be publicized and he should be sent to jail, but why publish this now? He's in a cell with a million in bail. No threat to anyone to justify this article.

It can take years to get a conviction at a trial. Murderers and rapists do not get to roam free until they are convicted. A defendant can get a prompt trial. But often the defendant is in no hurry for trial - especially if he (or she) is out of custody. In any event, in this instance there may be many other victims. That is why he is properly identified.- even though he is currently in jail with high bail. The police.- and society - need others (if any) to come forward so he may be charged with the additional crimes he has committed (if any).

^ All things considered, the incarcerated individual is most likely guilty of statutory rape & transporting a minor across state borders for the possible INTENTION of having sex.
That said...many citizens (especially those with underaged children) feel somewhat reassured when these suspects are identified & locked-up pending trial.

Yes. "Just in case." Everyone is safer with criminals locked up. But there is, as "Claire" points out, another value in our society sometimes described as "innocent until proven guilty." It applies in a criminal trial as a court-created legal standard. But it applies more broadly to the whole process and plays an important role in evaluating who gets and stays locked up pending trial. As to this defendant, we only have information so far that he was luring teenage girls to town for sex with him - pretending to be 17. We don't know how young his targets have been. 14, 13, 12, 11, 10? We don't know if he ever took "no" for an answer when a girl noticed he was older than advertised or otherwise tried to call it off. And we don't know if sex with this guy extended to brutality and disease transmission. Or maybe some victims are in no position to testify - ever. So, I make no accusations myself. But a 22-year-old arranging meetings with young teenage girls could be way more of a threat than you might imagine. Follow the case. Let's see if more charges are filed.

This comment below is startling. The voice did nothing wrong and continue exposing these pedophiles. Can’t say much more about the comment.... or it will be deleted. But you get my drift.

Sometimes a sexual predator is married and the spouse does not want to believe it or have the matter publicized. But in this instance, "Claire" from "another community," the police and society need to determine whether there are more victims - and maybe accomplices.
