Manny Velasco would be an amazing addition to the school board. As an instructional aide many years ago, he worked with my son, and he has served with me on district committees to help students with disabilities and English language learners. He is a wonderful person, always ready to help, who really cares about all kids. I am excited to vote for him and for Laura Ramirez Berman, another amazing person who would be fantastic on the school board.

It is wonderful to see so many candidates for school board this fall. Now we will get a true choice in the type of leadership we want for our schools and oversight we want for the district.

Is Mr. Velasco any relation to Louie & the late Mike Velasco who ran the now defunct El Zarape Mexican restaurant on ECR in Mountain View?
