Will they have drive-through testing or are people expected to wait outside in the sun?

This approach is a waste of time and money, we need to shelter in place and wait for a vaccine, end of story.

Testing clean only means at that time you are not infected.

And the tests are still not that reliable, there are many reports of errors made that results in false positives and negatives.

This is just because the current governments are trying to find a shortcut to getting us back to normal, but until normal is safe, it is not a good idea, and the people know it.

We simply need to wait until the medical doctors have a treatment or a vaccine, end of story

Testing is critical for "essential workers" who have to go to work because they won't get paid and can't collect unemployment insurance if they just quit.

The business man- it must be nice that you can shelter in place and wait for a vaccine.
Many many many other people cannot for a variety of reasons..
You should read up on how the virus is spread and then decide for yourself what you are comfortable doing. It is clear now that wearing a mask and avoiding prolonged exposure to,large groups of people is a way to avoid infection.
Staying locked up for the foreseeable future is not a viable option.

In response to Not feasible you said:

“The business man- it must be nice that you can shelter in place and wait for a vaccine.”

THAT IS NECESSARY. The Federal Government should have implemented the following actions:

The U.S. economy is in a medically induced COMA because the virus is deadly to it.

The Federal Government should have implemented economic LIFE SUPPORT. Meaning that all workers are ENTITLED to income for the duration. All food, utilities, rents, and communication should have been FEDERALIZED and provided to us free of cost until the VIRUS is under Control.

If you saw the movie CONTAGION, that’s exactly what was done in the movie. It was based on the PANDEMIC response plan originally written in 2010. WE JUST REFUSE TO ACT ON IT.

What you said:

“Many many many other people cannot for a variety of reasons..”

If we had the proper response, that is not an issue. What REALLY is the problem is that the VIRUS is killing our economy and there is nothing that can be done to stop it You went on to say:

“You should read up on how the virus is spread and then decide for yourself what you are comfortable doing. It is clear now that wearing a mask and avoiding prolonged exposure to,large groups of people is a way to avoid infection.”

PUBLIC HEALTH cannot be managed by RISK MANAGEMENT because that process ACCEPTS that people will get sick and DIE. PUBLIC HEALTH must operate using RISK AVOIDANCE, prevention of infection and death is mandatory. But you refuse to understand this. So when you said:

“Staying locked up for the foreseeable future is not a viable option.”

YES IT IS. But it will likely result in the following steps:

The Federal Debt is going to have to be defaulted or ordered clean.

All State and Municipal Bonds are going to have to be defaulted or ordered clean.

All Public and Private Debt will be defaulted and ordered wiped clean.

Yes this will practically destroy the financial industry, but the damage is happening anyway. As much as 50% of these loans are going to be lost, and anything above 25% will wipe out the financial sector, anyway.

What you are afraid of facing is that those that made their living by simply lending money and made a big profit are going to lose that model. The damage is already done.

This should have been disclosed as far back as March of this year.

The business man- shoulda, woulda, coulda.

“ PUBLIC HEALTH cannot be managed by RISK MANAGEMENT because that process ACCEPTS that people will get sick and DIE. PUBLIC HEALTH must operate using RISK AVOIDANCE, prevention of infection and death is mandatory. But you refuse to understand this.”

Actually, no. Maybe you have drank the Cody kool aid, maybe not.
There is more to public heath than the coronavirus..

And no, staying locked up until there is a vaccine is not feasible. However using good, practices, we can minimize the effects of the virus,

I assume then that you grow your own food, do without mail service or go to restaurants, since everyone should be locked up in Cody’s prison.

What is North County?

Here as on other topics, "TBM" demonstrates big blind spots.

"A vaccine" is neither necessary nor inevitable. No vaccine has been produced yet for any coronoavirus (this one is just the latest and most important of a genre), despite great effort.

Nor is a vaccine necessary to stop a contagion. Very basic public-health principle. No vaccine was used in 1918-1919. Take precautions seriously enough to cut down the transmission rate enough, and the contagion naturally dies out. It doesn't even need to be stopped completely to contain it. Compare Taiwan's success in halting Covid-19 already, weeks ago.

PS "North County" is us. The north part of SC County,

In response to Not feasible you said:

Yes there is but WRONG you are simply saying that in order to protect your assets that the general public must take a RISK to THEIR health. At least the CODY kool aid is not Russian roulette wihich is the game he people play with regards to your argument. The PEOPLE cannot play that game and you know it. You said again:

“And no, staying locked up until there is a vaccine is not feasible. However using good, practices, we can minimize the effects of the virus,

I assume then that you grow your own food, do without mail service or go to restaurants, since everyone should be locked up in Cody’s prison.”

I wrote the procedure to deal with the problem, you just don’t like the results. You are just trying to protect your investments from the damage this disease has caused. You HAVE no SOLUTION other than playing RUSSIAN ROULLETE.

In response to Another resident you said:

“"A vaccine" is neither necessary nor inevitable. No vaccine has been produced yet for any coronoavirus (this one is just the latest and most important of a genre), despite great effort.”

So you also just want us to play RUSSIAN ROULETTE too. No it is 2020 and I expect a VACCINE to be made. Especially after you wrote:

“Nor is a vaccine necessary to stop a contagion. Very basic public-health principle. No vaccine was used in 1918-1919. Take precautions seriously enough to cut down the transmission rate enough, and the contagion naturally dies out. It doesn't even need to be stopped completely to contain it. Taiwan is not a good example for us. WE DID NOT RESPOND FAST ENOUGH. We have out of control infections. They didn’t. Why, because we are far more mobile, I have friends in Taiwan and they aren’t agreeing with those reports. There is significant fudging of data, just like here in this country. The “testing” there is worse than here. So be careful in trying to depend on any government reporting, just like here all of them are trying to minimize the real problem. I expect better than the results of 1918-19 because we have the tools to deal with it.

NO ONE SHOULD PLAY RUSSIAN ROULETTE WITH COVID 19.

QUESTION:
Are any of the COVID-19 testing sites testing for antibodies? Or are they only testing to see if you currently are positive for having the virus?

The testing site in Mtn View is at: Shoreline Athletic Fields
2450 Garcia Ave, Mountain View, CA 94043

Wait - why have most of the North County free testing sites recently not been poor-demographic accessible? Why Palo Alto, Los Altos, and MV on the other side of the freeway? This last site almost looks likes it was chosen to avoid the residents that earlier were reported to have overwhelmed the 'poor peoples's residential area' "walk-to" site (Rengstorff Park). {Christopher C.- I do know there are modest income residents in the mobile home park No. of 101 :}

I just read that the SCCC Health officer was given threats because of the action she took.

SHE HAD NO CHOICE. IT WAS EITHER SHE TOOK THAT STEP OR THOUSANDS MORE WOULD BE INFECTED.

This is insane, so many people want to go about their lives playing Russian Roulette with OTHER PEOPLES LIVES.

Testing is all and good, but it does not cure the virus or control it. It only tells you who has it at that time.

Not really "low barrier" to test. They only do drive thru, so you need a car to test. Not only that, but one of the ladies gave me sass when I was asking if I could get a test. Pretty bullshit.

Do you have July 2020 pop-up Covid 19 testing scheduled.
