Grocery program throws a lifeline to families at Mountain View's highest-needs school

Schools may be closed during the coronavirus pandemic, but hundreds of families are still showing up at Castro Elementary School each Monday for a badly needed care package.

I'm incredibly proud of the way our community has come together to help those in need in these dificult times. We're all in this together, and I hope we will alll come out of this stronger than ever!

The SCEFs (School Community Engagement Facilitators) for each school (Castro/Mistral) were amazingly helpful in coordination and outreach to families who needed this service. Thanks are also due to Principal Lambert at Castro for both coordinating and helping with every food distribution!
