Duh! Let us send people back to work, it would take care of the Economy and of unnecessary deaths. Who is in charge?

> and of unnecessary deaths.
100,000 dead Americans, and you use 20 tragedies over 4 months as swill to whine about Public Health Measures that have saved THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of lives.
You must be loads of fun at parties.
> Who is in charge?
Don Trump is our impeached POTUS, for a little longer, at least, unless his off-label malaria drug use harms him. Or the internal disinfectant. Or the hamberders. Web Link
He announced a set of guidelines months ago for reopening. Have you read them?

> Who is in charge?
Don Trump announced these guidelines a month ago, when his failed pandemic response had allowed 30,000 deaths.
Yes, 70,000 dead Americans ago.
Please read that slowly before proceeding.

Go online for some entertainment. Watch the May 15 special meeting of the City Council of Atwater CA (pop. 30,000) near Merced along Highway 99. The proposal was to declare Atwater a "sanctuary city" for businesses (to be open). The meeting begins with the pledge of allegiance and is followed by an INVOCATION by a local pastor who proclaims the God considers all businesses essential. Take a look. Only an hour.

It's easy to point fingers but if you look at the bigger picture from the 2018 - CDC: 80,000 people died of flu last winter in U.S., highest death toll in 40 years. So looking at the current event and you list 70,000 why then did we not shelter in place then? This is an exercise in fear management. This fentanyl local story is in the news because it is a local story. It has no cross over to the pandemic. I am just hoping none of these deaths were counted in error as COVID-19 related. Lets remember - Only 2563 cases of COVID-19 in Santa Clara County of a population 1,927,852 (2019). Read it again - 2563. Read it again - 2563 of a population of over 1.9 Million. Even if you double this number still under 1%. Do you see hysteria yet?

WRONG. Visit the CDC website if you're going to just copy some random, fringe number and claim it's theirs. Web Link
Your argument sure goes straight down in flames when you lie like that, in your very first sentence.
Do better next time.

Per the CDC: Last year - 34,157 flu deaths. 2016: 23k 2017: 38k 2018: 60k
"do not drink bleach." Don't drink the fringe's koolaid, either.
