"Hire more police"
Criminals kill 20k per year.
Covid killed 100,000 so far.
Spend less on cops and more on public health.

SIP mandates have reduced residential burglaries and street crimes considerably because more people are at home keeping an eye on things and there is less foot traffic on the city streets.
We do not need more police officers until the epidemic fades and as far as public health is concerned, regular & available testing should be made available to all in addition to wearing facemasks in public to protect oneself and others.
The SF Bay Area is not a 'podunk' region like many areas in the bible belt/red states where blind faith & overall ignorance reign supreme.
