Voice wins 14 California Journalism Awards

The Mountain View Voice took home 14 awards among all California weekly newspapers in its circulation category in the California News Publishers Association's (CNPA) 2019 California Journalism Awards, it was announced Tuesday.

Congratulations, "MV Voice," for winning so many local reporting and photo awards! We are proud of our local newspaper and columnists and these awards help show why.

There were 827 print awards plus 210 digital awards totaling 1037 awards.

MV Voice 11 print awards and 3 digital awards

Los Altos Town Crier 3 print awards and 0 digital awards

Mercury News 12 print awards and 13 digital awards

Davis Enterprise 11 print awards and 0 digital awards

Modesto Bee 13 print awards and 0 digital awards

1037 awards??? Sounds like the self serving CNPA gives out so many awards so that every newspaper wins something. Kind of like journalistic participation awards. Is there a category called "Best Use of the Word "THE""??
