Just wanted to start a targeted thread in the hope that some local business owners might chime in. What is the best/most effective way for us to support local businesses right now? For restaurants, would it be making a habit of ordering takeout 1-2x a week, and making a larger than normal tip? Can restaurants or other local business receive direct $$ gifts/donations? Are there any tax considerations we should be aware of for small businesses regarding tips/monetary gifts/etc?
