Too bad the Community College general fund tax measure (Measure H) did not pass. Facilities property tax rates, for MVWSD and the Community College will increase by $300 +$160 per million of assessed valuation. Or an increase of more than $500 for most homes sold recently. [Just about all except East Palo Alto have a median sales price above $1 M - Zillow]

REPORTERS: please convert the various, IMO 'purposefully confusing' tax rates to a uniform - understandable dollar rate. $0.016 / $100 = 10,000x$0.016 / 10,000x$100 = $160 per $1,000,000
