We attended the Palo Alto event today, Pete is the real deal, a brilliant guy, thoughtful and inclusive. It puzzles me why the LGBTQ community would be critical of him. He represents ALL of us, that’s what a president is supposed to do. I would think they would celebrate his success just as the Irish celebrated JFK and the African American community celebrated Obama. Pete is the one candidate who will resonate with battleground state. Make America Ethical again #Pete2020

They're critical for the same reason every other group is: because Pete is an empty suit. The only real deal in the race is the Bernie, the guy who won Iowa and New Hampshire, and who actually polls ahead of Trump in battleground states, unlike Pete. Folks like you need to rally around Bernie so we can defeat Trump in the general, rather than dragging out a divisive primary.

The crime rate is South Bend increased 70% while Pete was mayor. While the national crime rate decreased 2%.

Bernie does not stand a chance winning in the general against Trump.

Moderate D and moderate Ind. will never support him.

You can not say you are going to take away hard fought health insurance that unions have for their members, and expect to get their votes.

You cannot say that you are going to ban fracking and expect to win back the states that flipped to Trump.

You cannot say that you are a communist/socialist and expect the middle, Ind. to vote for him.

Think about it, why are the members in the House and Senate sounding the alarm if Bernie is the nominee.

It's horrifying to me that you would suggest that "moderate" Democrats and independents would rather elect Trump than a popular candidate who has won the first two primaries and presents a positive vision for the country. These people don't sound very moderate to me if they prefer Trump as president!

@Bernie 2020,

As much as you want a revolution, it is not going to happen.

People will not vote for Trump, but they will stay home and not vote at all.

I don't think your dismissive, divisive attitude reflects well on the candidate you support. I hope that in November you will choose to defeat Donald Trump rather than continue to engage in these purity politics and sit it out just because your preferred candidate did not win.

If we look at the numbers, Bernie beats Trump in national polls and in the key battleground states that prevented the Democrats from winning in 2020. Pete, on the other hand, loses those states.

Hillary was ahead in every poll in 2016.
Polls do not tell the whole story. If they were right then Trump would not be the President.

I am leaning to 2 candidates right now. I will make my final choice in 2 weeks. I will vote for the one who has the best chance to beat Trump.

If polls don't suit you, you can simply look at how Bernie has won the first two primaries already. I appreciate your ability to commit to supporting the nominee, regardless of who it is, so that we can defeat Donald Trump in November.

Lenny's concern trolling for the Putin backed Trumpinsta's.

Bernie Bros will vote blue no matter what. Moderate Republicans will stay home rather than vote for the impeached buffoon flouting all laws and norms (interfere with DOJ and their 7 felonies convicted Roger Stone?!?! Sheesh!)

If it's Bernie, he'll get all the Dems and Independents. Trump and Radio Moscow/Sputnik will harp on him in the midwest, but Bernie and the rest are polling higher than Hillary was during the last week of 2016 (Hillary was polling with a 2-4% lead that week. She won by ~2%)

The only place I hear people saying they have a blue purity test for the general is online, anonymous sites (ie.. Trumpers 'concern trolling' about the Dem primary;) never anyone in-person, talking.

Ignore the trolls.

You seem to think that because you live in a bubble, that the entire country thinks like you.

Last week in Nevada, you had the Culinary Union, 130,000 members strong, write a position paper stating what positions that each candidate has on issues. They stated that Bernie wants to take away their health insurance and substitute it for Medicare. What happened?, you had the Bernie people call in threats to the Union for pointing this out. They were going to endorse Biden, but backed off after all the threats. You think that you will get the majority of those people to vote for Bernie in the general?

What is the National party doing? They are changing the rules to keep Bernie from winning. They now changed the rules since Biden is falling, to allow Bloomberg into the debates.

At the convention, they have the rules set so if no one has the delegates needed at the first round to win outright, then the super delegates steps in and each one of their votes counts for 2 votes, and the candidates gets reduced to 1/2 vote.

So you are fighting the National Party, and the moderate D and Ind.voters to win the Presidency? Not to smart IMHO.

You won't get any argument from me that party elites and leadership are opposed to Bernie's candidacy. It's disheartening that they're substituting their judgment for the judgment of the people, but it's nothing new. For example, you'll find that the Culinary Union's membership was strongly supportive of Bernie, but leadership was opposed, hence the "no endorsement." Bernie has the most support from labor unions of all the candidates, as they recognize universal healthcare will allow them to spend efforts negotiating better wages and hours, instead of fighting for basic healthcare coverage.

Either way, he's the strongest candidate to get back Obama-Trump voters, and the strongest among the Democratic base. That's part of why he's won two primaries already and has such a strong following. A long divisive primary tearing down the frontrunner won't help Democrats defeat Trump.

America will not get M$A unless we take the White House and the Senate, no matter who you support in the primary.

Bonus: if we take both, we likely pick up more house seats, giving the most effective Speaker in decades even more room to maneuver.

If you support the current POTUS you can thank the progressive Berners, 1 in 10 voted for Mr Trump because they were pouting that Bernie was not the nominee. And it looks like they are headed that way again. And by the way we met several natives of South Bend, who lived there when Pete was Mayor they said city improved considerably after his two terms (which he won with 80% of the vote, 2nd term AFTER he came out). Apparently a rust belt city in a red state was ready for a gay Mayor (seems Iowa and NH voters feel the same).

Even though I do not think Bernie can win electoral, I will vote blue if Bernie is nominee and I URGE his supporters to do the same if he is not. In other words grow up and put on your big boy pants.

@Bernie 2020 - Pete has the most delegates, the popular vote does not matter...remember? Bernie won NH by the skin of his teeth. If popular vote mattered, #45 would be on his next reality TV show and Hillary would be our president. Nobody heard of Pete a year ago he has run a very strong campaign. The soon-to-be Octogenarians running against him have had their day, their warranties are up and the need to mentor a new generation of leadership.

That's pretty scary. If these Bernie voters stay home again unless we nominate Bernie, we really should consider voting for him. I'm a Klobuchar fan, personally, but I really can't risk seeing Trump reelected because those people stay home. I'm going to have to hold my nose and vote Bernie in the primary in the best interest of the country.

"you can’t see the good he’s done"

Like what? The stock market is on the same trend as Obama's 8 years (which doubled the market.) Look at any 15 year monthly jobs chart and you'll see an extension of the same numbers as the Obama recovery. Look at any 20 year chart of quarterly GDP and you'll see the same numbers as the Obama recovery.

Manufacturing? The same as Obama Web Link

Growth? Same as Obama Web Link

I'd post more links, but have two problems:

1. This site supports only a couple links per post.
2. Trump's koolaid drinkers refuse to look at facts anyway, so why bother posting facts?

Trump beats Obama in two areas:

1. Trump over-promises on everything - like promising 4% annual growth for the trillion dollar tax cut for corporations.

Growth is half of what he promised - see above chart

2. Obama cut the deficit by half. Trump's trillion dollar deficits ar double Obama's deficits.

So: "you can’t see the good he’s done".

True. He's almost as good as Obama on some metrics, and completely awful on many others.

The DNC is letting Bloomberg onto the debate stage in Nevada. They will take the nomination away again from Bernie.

Latest poll in Virginia,
22% for Bloomberg,
22% for Sanders,
and 18% for Biden.

If Biden drops out it will be a huge spike for Bloomberg.

Warren will need to drop out so supporters can go to Bernie.

And EW becomes the perfect middle ground consensus candidate. Other than that, you "concerns" (see above) are duly noted.

In it's place you inserted this comment,

Probably was the "disrespectful comment or offensive language".

Just guessing, tho....
