BevMo! pays $359K consumer protection settlement

Retail beverage giant BevMo! will pay $359,000 to resolve a consumer protection lawsuit contending that the company sometimes charged customers more than the lowest posted or advertised price for items.

This seems like a pretty pointless exercise of a DA looking for some notoriety.

If consumers were unhappy with the purchase price, they could have chosen to shop elsewhere.

If consumers were unhappy that they were cheated, and caught the cheating, they could have chosen to shop elsewhere.

I've called the Santa Clara County Weights and Measures 866-SCANNER (722-6637) when I was overcharged and didn't want to take the time to report it to the store. The County's on it and called me back with an update! **Like**
