I look forward to the report of action taken by the MV-Whisman School Board Thursday night concerning the Superintendent's proposed bond measure for the March 3 ballot. I did speak at the meeting - first about missing security cameras and then the fact that the Superintendent's proposed bond measure was a virtual BLANK CHECK with regard to how the money could be spent. The Superintendent claimed that another agenda item - his proposed "facilities master plan" - at least contained priorities for use of bond proceeds; however, a separate plan is NOT EVEN BINDING on the current Board of Trustees. It can be repealed or otherwise changed by the Board at any duly noticed meeting. Unless the language of the proposed bond measure was significantly changed at the meeting, it should be rejected by voters.
