Mountain View pitches in $3M for regional recycled water facility

In a bid to rapidly expand recycled water use in the northern parts of the city, Mountain View City Council members voted unanimously Monday night to join a regional partnership to construct a $20 million water purification facility.

I kept my yard healthy and alive by using grey water during the drought.
it's amazing how much usable water goes down the drain.

Sounds like a great idea. Having irrigation systems using recycled water would be a great first step.

Does anyone know if those facilities will be technically setup to treat reclaimed water that is potable (drinkable)? In Singapore they drink reclaim water. Web Link Would be wonderful to have future facilities ready for that future if we can one day change social perceptions around it.
