Perhaps the protesters should focus their energies on more local issues that they could actually have an impact: public employee pensions, rent control, bureaucracy, city budget, etc.

At least Dan has made an effort. He and I both ran for city council against three incumbents in a pretty much impossible battle against a lot of the idiocy perpetuated by our council for many years. Make all the snide remarks you want about our Vice President, but at the end of the day he is still your Vice President.
