An exemplar life well lived. May all of us be able to learn and do the same.

Mike was an inspiring friend and a good neighbor with good humor. He often brought our community together on matters that matter. Our thoughts go out to Marilyn, his children, and all the lives he touched.

He was such a gentle soul, with a great sense of humor. He never really got old, because he stayed in touch with what was important in the world. As brilliant and dedicated as he was, he always made those around him feel more important, and would sing their praises to anyone who would hear. He was a custodian of fairness and equality, Grateful for his many gifts especially his children, his wife, his work, and nature. Hope it is a great ride from here, my cousin, you deserve it!

Mike was a great guy who used his talents to help those less fortunate. Mountain View and Santa Clara County residents have lost a champion. He Will be missed!

Mountain View has lost a true, compassionate and humble leader. While on the Council, we could always count on Mike to stand up and speak for the less fortunate. He had more impact on our community than many will ever know, and he was equally impactful on those who connected with him. His presence will be missed every day, but his memory and the good he did for us all will always be remembered.

Well done, Mr. Kevin Forestieri! You have captured much of the extraordinary person and diverse endeavors that Mike dedicated his enormous talents to. So many people received his love and caring, and will always remember him and the values he so beautifully lived.

Fischetti never lost sight of the systemic problems that caused people to end up desperate and in poverty, making him uniquely qualified to see how the right policies can help those in need.

Mike will live on in the memories of the many he worked with and helped, and his spirit continues in the world as a force for progressive change.
