This is more positive news for the area that will be ignored by many with their own agendas. I feel blessed to have been in Mountain View for 25+ years and watch it grow and flourish. The only detraction is that the city is unable to permit developers to create housing for the residents and for people who want to be here. The city has succeeded despite the fumblings and missteps by the various meddling council members. I'd say the last good decision made by the city was to narrow Castro St and turn it into a boulevard. I think that was in the 90s.

Thank you Governor Newsom and local SF Bay Area politicians!
Leading by example once again. I hope the rest of the US states can look to this area as an example and one day maybe become just as prosperous as the San Francisco Bay Area. Wouldn't THAT be something!

YES,

Now that there is REAL employment with the passage of AB 5.

Except that HP just announced a 9000 job cut. How much of it will happen in California is a good question. Symantec is relocating out of Mountain View.

Since greater than 50 % of workers are contractors in the area, I am not sure how this will be impacted come Jan 1, 2020.

What has Trump done for the Bay Area? What law? What jobs bill?

Perhaps his best contribution was not to completely destroy the Obama Recovery that he inherited (see the jobs chart: Web Link )

Thank you, Governor Newsom.

The 4 corrupt families that run California.

For your closed minded simpletons that will dismiss these facts outright for the sole reason of coming from the side you do not agree with, try to only dispute the facts for a change.

“For your closed minded simpletons that will dismiss these facts outright for the sole reason of coming from the side you do not agree with, try to only dispute the facts for a change.”

ONE QUESTION:

Very slick video, but no research citations. It presents a lot of “innuendo” but does not In fact demonstrate by independent objective sources regarding MANY of the claims made.

It was produced NOT by a journalist, nor a news reporter, but a person identified as Bill Lovelace of DJ Entertainment. His business is as he describes it:

“Bill Lovelace DJ Entertainment has been providing unique, personalized Disc Jockey and M.C.services for more than 30 years. From weddings to corporate events, Bill has the ability to entertain guests of all ages, and he is always happy to act as "Master of Ceremonies" and make any needed announcements. From the day you begin planning until your event is over, you will deal only with Bill Lovelace, as he never subcontracts any wedding, party or event.”( Web Link

His profession is being a wedding DJ and does not have the expertise in journalism. He has no requirement to avoid bias in his presentations.

His business is directly impacted by AB 5 because entertainers have very limited exemptions for being “contractors”. His business is directly altered by AB 5. In effect he has a direct conflict of interest and thus that should be considered regarding the video he produced.

Maybe you should have considered this before assuming the validity of the video itself?

> try to only dispute the facts for a change.

When your facts are from a youtube video from a DJ? Nice word salad, though.

Only thing worse than viewing youtube videos is believing what you read on facebook. Is that where the trump fringies get all their "facts"?

The chart that all the fringies are afraid of - jobs by month.

updated thru Sept monthly jobs chart, includes Trump's anemic 2019 numbers

Note Trump is still benefiting form The Obama Recovery, from the Bush Great Recession (ie.. 2nd republican great depression.)

Just another observation

This video appears to be produced by InfoWars.

Proof: the advertisement for the InfoWars Protein Bars at the end.

The comments following the video falsely claims that these people had control over California for 60 years.

What happened during the Reagan, Deukmejian, Wilson, and Schwarzenegger Governors? Did these Governors give up their administrative powers while being in office? I don’t think so. So you can basically accept the fact that both parties are equally corrupted. The GOP cannot prove otherwise.
