He shut down Hwy 101, Caltrain, many of the bike paths around Mountain View. Hope his fundraiser was fun enough to justify the waste and cost to the local community.

I LOOOVE that Big baby Trump balloon!!! I'm so glad it's on tour in our area. It's really exciting when a celebrity comes to town.
This one even brought in the president!

Congrats to Backbone Campaign's quick reaction to rearranging the protest at an appropriate location. Thanks, MV Voice, for a well written article.

EVERYONE loves the baby balloon!

So cute! (and lifelike, too, with those short, stubby fingers tweeting about hamberders...)

Did he get a check from mexico yet?

GTFO. Any Californian who pays that guy is welcome to move to Maryland. Or Saudi Arabia.

You have to question the judgment of a person who names his kids Dakota, Colt, and Scout. Why do Billionaires give their kids ridiculous names? Anyway, I am bummed I missed the baby balloon.

I think Baby Balloon would give #45 a run for his money... and we do need a younger candidate IMO.

I love seeing all our local liberals rage in the comments! Don't worry guys, you have 5 years to find someone for 2024. And to @resident, don't you remember when Obama came to visit Walmart? The effort that went into his protection?

You all have got to stop hating, its bad for your health.

TRUMP 2020

He never showed himself openly in public, he snuck in and out in a matter of hours, we got to see the Cry Baby trump Balloon, and then the rain washed the trump funk off everything the next day.
All in all, it was about as best as could be expected. LOL.

I had breakfast on the coast this morning and there was no orange glow at sunrise. Life is good. We have so much to be appreciative for in this area.

@Jack O., I'm not seeing much "Rage" here as it's commonly defined. Aside from someone getting slightly bent because he was inconvenienced(Aww), I see posts obviously framed more in humor than rage.

Not to diminish your enjoyment of other people's (perceived) pain, but are you sure you on the right thread? ;)

It's OK, really, not all have trump hate but many do think he's a joke, even this ex-trump voter. I figure, I was forced to take a bite out of a "S" sandwich last election, but I don't have to claim it tastes delicious.

@ Resident - Trump flew into Moffett and only drove to Portola Valley through our small towns so the inconvenience was minimal. When Obama was in office he decided to stay for brunch in LA the morning after an evening fundraiser so didn't leave until 10:00am. Since he flew out of LAX he shut down the airport and ALL the commuter freeway routes in LA for the entire morning so pretty much shut down commerce for the entire day in a major metropolitan city. It was SO inconsiderate and so unnecessary as he could have left at night after the fundraiser. Did you complain when Obama came to town? He was in Palo Alto several times for fundraisers.

There were tons of complaints. Do a search for them.

Back to the short fingered vulgarian - did we call out the graffiti clean-up team to looks for evidence of sharpies?

@ Interesting Perception - I would agree- I'm not seeing rage but the constant ridicule gets old and it certainly doesn't make the country a better place. The irony is that all the libs complain about Trump's behavior (and deservedly so) but then they behave just like him with the constant insults, name-calling, ridiculing, etc. How juvenile is that balloon? And yet they all think it's GREAT! Such children...

@resident
The president has the right to be here and do as he like, just like any other citizen. I'm sure you didn't whine at the cost or bother when Obama and Clinton did the same. I had to deal with their disruption many times, so I'm sure you'll survive.

@jack
So if people don't agree with you, they have to leave? I think not. As a California native, I don't have to go anywhere.

The constant hate is getting old and pathetic. No new ideas that aren't crazy and destructive, nothing that hasn't been said a million times. Just constant hate while things get better for millions. You can't deal with the positive, so you lash out. Sad really.
