Mountain View man arrested after alleged attempted robbery

Police arrested a 35-year-old Mountain View man on Sept. 2 after he allegedly held a downtown restaurant employee at knifepoint and tried to rifle through his pockets, according to the Mountain View Police Department.

I wish the police had foot or bicycle patrols of pedestrian areas around town. Driving around in their patrol cars doesn't protect pedestrians.

Although I agree with you, I think we should bear in mind the the 900 block of Villa Street is literally less than 500 feet from the police station; which is a brazen crime in any case.

When I was younger all the kids would go to the parking structure a block away and smoke pot so a few hundred feet from the station doesn't mean much if they are parked out front

Mountain View is a septic tank full of low lifes and the city council continues to ignore the problem
