Los Altos father, daughter among dead in Southern California dive boat fire

Two Los Altos residents, a Mountain View High School graduate and her father, are among those who died in a boat fire early on Labor Day off the coast of Santa Barbara County.

Scott was a great guy. He was active in the community for years. He had a successful high-tech career at multiple companies including SGI and Juniper Networks. Served on BPAC for several years in Los Altos. Teaching was another gift back to the world. You'll be deeply missed.

Absolutely tragic! So many lives taken too soon. The good all the victims have done in the world will live on.
