Thanks to Nisha Malley and the Mountain View Voice for covering this important meeting.

As a San Jose resident and Eshoo constituent, I have been appalled by her record of serving the interests of her big donors--particularly drug and medical device company donors--to the detriment of constituents (and all Americans). Her opposition to the Medicare for All Act of 2019 (HR 1384), reiterated in her Town Hall in Mountain View last night, should be seen as a continuation of her policy in putting the interests of donors before those of the people of California Congressional District 18.

For more evidence of my assertions, see Web Link

Medicare for all? Not everyone needs it. Why should the government pay for the healthcare of rich persons? Public option is a better starting point. As to money in politics, there is a U.S. Supreme Court case brought by "Citizens United" about the concocted "right" of businesses to invest in campaigns. The government currently is left to institute public funding of campaigns to help offset the influence of the rich and powerful. But the trick is to elect persons in a corrupted election system who will vote to change it. On the subject of corruption, I am this early morning watching Robert Mueller attempt to testify before Congress. He is 74 and obviously impaired mentally. But it appears he tried his best to uncover and reveal the role of Vladimir Putin in advancing the candidacy of his greatly preferred candidate for President: Donald Trump. Just why Trump is so deferential to Putin is still unclear. The question remains whether Putin has Trump over a barrel. Trump's effort to hide his business ventures in Russia does not seem to explain it. Here is another matter to consider: Registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein dirtied and blackmailed rich and powerful men for decades. Epstein may have done so not just to advance his agenda as a rapist and sex slave trafficker but also to advance the agenda of a sponsoring foreign government. Stay tuned.

> He is 74 and obviously impaired mentally.

Really? Just because he may not have a strong movie-star voice isn't evidence of any diminished capacity.

He's a brilliant man and an accomplished lawyer. I am disappointed in him in some areas, and I disagree with a few things, but he is qualified: Appointed by Reagan, and by Bush. Approved by the senate unanimously. TWICE. Selected by republicans for the special counsel, managed by republicans.

> But it appears he tried his best to uncover and reveal the role of Vladimir Putin in advancing the candidacy of his greatly preferred candidate for President: Donald Trump

The focus of the morning testimony was Judiciary (the ten cases of Trump's obstruction of justice and witness tampering, etc..)

The afternoon session is Intelligence, which should focus on Putin's attack on our elections, along with the 100 contacts the Trump campaign had with russians, etc..

Mueller is not the one impaired mentally is a registered user.

It is truly disugsting how GOP bulldogs went after Mueller, talk about a 'witch hunt' their favorite catch phrase. Many of the so-called questions were not even close to being delivered in a civil manner. These questions were often diatribes giving them free air time for the benefit of their base, when Mueller started to reply they would interrupt and cut him off. Mr Mueller is a civil servant not a show-boating politician, he has more integrity than all of them combined. He made one point crystal clear when he stated that "President Trump's repeated embrace of WikiLeaks and its distribution of Clinton campaign emails was "beyond problematic." Mueller is nobody's fool.

POTUS supports Putin over NATO? is a registered user.

GOP used to be staunch flag-flying Patriots, now they seem to think it is acceptable for the POTUS to defend despots and dictators over our allies? When Trump was asked if he would confront Putin about election interference, Trump turns to Putin, laughs and says "Don't meddle in our elections" Web Link

Can any Trump supporter please tell me why this is OK? And the answer cannot include the words, Obama, Clinton or Hillary. I seriously want to know why our POTUS is more respectful of Putin than our NATO allies? I just don't get it. This really puzzles me, possibly Trump does not want to jeopardize his business dealings with Russians?
